Billionaire Donald Trump said in an interview released Sunday that the death of three close associates in a helicopter crash "had something to do" with his decision to leave his wife, Ivana.
Trump, currently in a high-profile separation with his wife, told New York magazine he almost rode in the helicopter that went down in New Jersey last year, killing three Trump Organization executives."I almost went down with them, but I was too busy," he said. "In a way I can thank my work."
He said the accident "cheapened life to me. These were three incredibly vibrant guys. It tends to cheapen life when you see quality like that going for no reason."
