Pauline Robinson Staples, 86, died Tuesday, January 14, 1992 at an Ogden nursing home of causes incident to age.

She was born May 28, 1905 in Appleton City, Missouri, a daughter of Frank Clark and Grace Chapin Robinson. She married Alfred JohnStaples February 4, 1930 in Norman, Oklahoma; he died August 6, 1952. She was reared and educated in Missouri. In 1943, she moved to Salt Lake City with her husband where they owned and operated Payless Drug Centers. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had been on the Women's Board of Westminster College and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of Chapter K of the PEO Sisterhood; a member of the daughters of the Nile; member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Town Club.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Earl and wife Carolyn Staples, Modesto, Calif.; A.J. and wife Pat Staples, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Dr. and Mrs. Bud (Shirley) Neal, Ogden; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Francis Sessoms, Everett, Washington.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Pastor Baird of the First Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City, officiating. The family requested donations be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital.
