Stockholders of Valley Bank have voted unanimously to merge with Key Bank of Idaho.

The vote on Wednesday at Valley Bank's Idaho Falls headquarters cleared the way for Valley Bank, which operates 11 offices in eastern Idaho, to open as a Key Bank on Friday.For 75 years, Valley Bank was the largest independently owned bank in Idaho. Valley Bank began as the Victor State Bank in 1916 and spread to Driggs, Ashton and Rexburg. Eventually the bank changed its name and moved its headquarters to Idaho Falls.
