Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, George Clark Rudd, age 94, passed away at the Box Elder County Nursing Home, in Tremonton, on March 13, 1994 of natural causes.
Mr. Rudd was born March 17, 1900 in Plymouth, a son of Erastus Harper and Sarah Ann Clark Rudd.He was reared in Plymouth, where he attended 8th grade, and later attended two years of school in Brigham City.
Clark and Electa Margaret Nish were married March 15, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; Electa died July 8, 1978. He married Bessie Tuckett; they were later divorced. Clark and Ettie made their home in Plymouth for several years before establishing a permanent home in West Fielding. In his youth, Mr. Rudd was interested in sports and enjoyed playing basketball; he also enjoyed hunting and dancing.
He was active in farming and ranching, owning property in Robertson, Wyoming, Soda Spring, Idaho, Plymouth, and West Fielding. He was also active in the livestock business and was a director in the Federal Land Bank for several years.
Clark was a very active High Priest in the Belmont First Ward, serving in the past as bishop of the Plymouth Ward, high councilman in the Bear River Stake, Logan Temple worker and serving in the Visitors Center at Temple Square in Salt Lake.
He has a strong conviction of the gospel and was a wonderful example to his family and others....We love you, Dad.

Surviving are one daughter and four sons and their spouses, LeOra and Gene Penhorwood, Layton; Oris and Delphia Rudd, serving an LDS mission in Yap, Guam; Evan and Ethel Rudd, Murray; Ross and Bonnie Rudd, Norman and DeeAnn Rudd, all of Fielding; 22 grandchildren; and 73 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 11 a.m., at the Belmont Ward Chapel, 16925 North 5200 West, West Fielding, with Bishop Lynn Capener officiating. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, and Saturday, 9:30-10:45 at the church.
