Marie Cardon Rowe, passed away July 9, 1994, at the age of 75.

She was born July 28, 1918 in Logan, Utah. Marie was the daughter of George Cardon and Elizabeth Ballantyne Cardon, and a direct descendant of Richard Ballantyne, founder of the Sunday School for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John James Rowe, of New London, Connecticut.Marie is survived by her daughter, Beverly Marie Rowe; four sons, John James, George Richard, Robert Russell, and Thomas Cardon Rowe; five grandchildren, Erin, Gretchen, Tom, Sheila, and Lauren. She is also survived by her brother, Dean Cardon and two sisters, Ardelle Mauro and Dorothy "Dot" Carty.

Marie was a lifelong learner, adventuress and known for her iron will and strong opinions. She loved children and her life touched many individuals. She was much loved and will be sorely missed.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 16th, 10 a.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue and `N' Street. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South.
