Major (U.S. Army) Stephen Mark Badger, age 37, died October 27, 1995, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Born December 13, 1957, in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of William Burton and Maurine Romney Badger. Married Nancy Peck, later divorced. Married Diane Wallace, February 19, 1993 in the Washington D.C. Temple.Stephen attended Salt Lake elementary schools, Clayton Jr. High, Highland High School and graduated from BYU. He joined the ROTC at Highland High, served in the National Guard, and graduated from BYU ROTC as a 2nd Lt. in 1985. He was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg and served in Italy for three-plus years.

An active member of the LDS Church, Stephen served a mission to Milan, Italy, 1977-1979.

Survived by his wife, Diane, Fayetteville, N.C.; children; Heather, Celeste, Michael and Francesca, all of Connersville, Indiana; stepchildren, Douglas and April, both attending Dixie college in St. George, Utah; Joy and Morgan, both of Fayetteville; mother, Maurine, of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Robert Badger, St. Johns, Arizona; David Badger, Carson City, Nevada; and grandmother, Lila B. Badger, Holden, Utah.

Preceded in death by his father; his brother, Michael and a stepson, Robert.

Funeral services in Salt Lake City will be held Thursday, November 2, 1995, 10 a.m., at the Colonial Hills 2nd Ward, 1455 South 1700 East. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and Thursday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the ward.

Interment, Holden Cemetery.
