Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Robert C. "Bob" Madsen suddenly passed away on April 24, 1999 at the age of 59 after a long and courageous battle with ill health and complications caused by C.O.P.D.

Married Aunda Ellen Riegger on September 9, 1967 and together they were blessed with four children, Angella, Camille, Robert, and Richard. Bob grew up in Provo. He entered the U.S. Army in 1957 where he served for four years. Bob successfully started and operated Madsen Office Equipment in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas. His last 18 years he has worked for the University of Utah Hospital and ARUP as a biomedical technician where he met and made many dear friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reloading, chess playing, gardening and trap shooting, where he won many awards; but he also enjoyed teaching these skills to his children and grandchildren as well. Bob played the guitar for many years and especially enjoyed performing with his wife for family and friends. He enjoyed and found peace in collecting many things and was an aficionado of M*A*S*H*, the popular TV series. Bob was known for his life-long love of dogs and had many pets throughout his life. Misty, his cherished miniature American Eskimo, brought him much joy and contentment. Bob, as much as you will miss Misty, Misty will miss you and her belly rubs.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, son and brother to his family. His wife and family will miss him immensely. Anyone who took the time to know Bob intimately found him a gentle, generous, and loving man.
