ST. GEORGE -- A dead infant was discovered inside a pump house at a miniature golf course Tuesday morning.

An employee at the Fiesta Family Fun Center, 171 E. 1160 South, found the baby while inspecting one of the course's model buildings.Police estimated the infant was between 1 to 4 weeks old and had been inside the model house for about four days, St. George detective Troy Porter said.

The state medical examiner's office was conducting an autopsy Wednesday, Porter said.

Evidence at the scene led police to believe that the child had been born in a home. The baby boy had a light complexion and dark hair. He was clothed in a baby-blue hooded sleeper and wrapped in a white blanket with a teddy bear pattern.

Porter said police were following some "good leads" Wednesday morning but were still looking for additional information from anyone who might have seen someone with a baby in the area.
