KAYSVILLE <! > - Ronald "Ron" Alexander Fullarton McCormick, age 87, passed away on June 8, 2001 in Kaysville, Utah.

He was born October 21, 1913 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of John Morrison and Helen Ful-larton McCormick. He married Jeanne Ball Par-sons, August 18, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple. She passed away July 6, 1941. He then married Afton June Elkins, June 10, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ron grew up in Salt Lake City, owned and ran a grocery store on 9th East, moved to Kaysville in 1950 and joined Clover Club Foods Company. After retiring at 68, he did carpentry work and remodeling as his lifelong hobby. He was happiest when hard at work and loved organizing work projects at the family "cabin" in Island Park, Idaho. After High School, he attended two years of business school. Ron was a Bishop in the LDS Church and held many church positions. He was Vice President over Sales at Clover Club Foods Company, President of Utah Grocers Association, and was on the Board of Directors, Security National Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Kaysville Rotary Club.

Surviving are his wife Afton, Kaysville; one son, Ronald E. McCormick (Kay), Layton, Utah; five daughters, Linda (Roland) Barker, Perry; Kathie (Bill) Bone, Layton; Connie (Dennis) Borup, Salt Lake City; Claudia (Tom) Miller, Centerville; and Callie (Roger) Wilhelmsen, Kaysville. He has 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He loved being with his family and was known to brag shamelessly about his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne Parsons, two brothers, seven sisters and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2001 at Kaysville 18th Ward, 1085 No. 50 East, Kaysville, with Bishop Paul Gardiner, officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and 9:45-10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
