NORTH SALT LAKE - On January 31, 1944 a star was born. Not the Hollywood kind of star, but the kind that shined brightly on every-one who met her.

Judy was a brilliant star that burned fast and lit up the world. This kind of star cannot last as long as some. On August 1, 2001 the star went out.

Judy has joined her mother Ella Mae and father Ivo James Rasmussen. Those left to bask in the glow of her love include; Jay, her loving and devoted husband of 38 years; daughters, Jill (Jed) VandeMerwe; Joelle (Rick) Jackson; Jeanna (Sean) Hyte; sister, Ella Jean (Dave) Lubinski; brothers, Bill (Patti) Rasmussen, Bob Rasmussen; grandchildren, Savannah, Cambria, Tate, Brockton, Jordan, Ryker, Talia, and Kala; other family members, Debbie Rasmussen, Keith and Linda Jensen, Janis and Jim Tetro; many nieces and nephews who considered Judy a second mom; and an incredible number of close friends.

For more than 15 years Judy was the Editor of the Davis County Clipper. For the past two years, Judy was the education specialist at the Disability Law Center. These were not just jobs to Judy, they were a way for her to give of her loving spirit.

Those who wish to share their memories of Judy are invited to a viewing at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Friday August 3, 2001, from 6-8 p.m.
