Glen Byron Larsen passed away Friday, October 11, 2002 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born Aug 3, 1927 in Fairview, UT to Bryon G. and Aldeva
(Johansen) Larsen. He married Helen Sube Feb. 11, 1950. He was a World War II Veteran and worked at Kenne-cott for 34 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family, loved the outdoors, hunting fishing and his cabin. We will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his wife; son, Wesley B. (Robin) Larsen, Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Paula (Tim) Smith, Overland Park, KS; two grandsons, Jason Larsen, Eric Smith; two grand-daughters, Lindsey Smith, Devin
Larsen; four sisters, Marilyn Nelson, Fairview, UT; Joanne (Glen) Robinson, Titusville, FL; Etta (Robert) Coulter, Ivins, UT; Susan (Larry) Larsen, Ivins, UT; two brothers, Evan (Esther) Larsen, Las Vegas, NV; Lewis (Joy) Larsen, Petaluma, CA; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and VA Nursing Home for their loving care.
Graveside services with military honors will be Wed. Oct 16, 2 p.m. Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Family and friends may gather one hour before services.
He was laid to rest on an October day with salute and taps did play. God reached out and held him near, then bent His head to whisper in his ear "Lights out, job done, rest now my son, you fought well, your battle's won."
