Francis A. Coupens, 86, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away June 26, 2002.

He was born October 17, 1915 in Columbus, Nebraska to Frank and Catherine Foreman Coupens. Married Harriat Wilde; later divorced.

Married Anna Dee Rowley in Midvale, Utah on January 26, 1973.

Francis was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Francis' life has taken him over a great part of the Western United States. He worked in the C.C.C. Camp in Pinedale, Wyoming; from there he moved to Sagaus, California and then back to Pinedale. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and then transferred to the Union Pacific Coal Mine in Rock Springs, Wyoming; retired from Hercules as an Engineer.

The last years of his life were spent in Utah, residing in Murray.

Survivors: his loving wife, Anna; children, Floyd Dee (Sherilin) Rowley, Centerville; Louise Ann Rowley, Murray; Clyde William (Shauna) Rowley, Taylorsville; Leilani (Dean) Ottley, Riverton; John Lloyd (Stacy) Rowley, Bountiful; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; his favorite cat, "Piggy"; sisters, Catherine, Betty, both Oregon; brother, Jerome (Pat), Washington. Preceded in death by a sister, Josephine.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 29, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox St. (7825 South), Midvale. Holy Rosary will be recited Friday at the church at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. or Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
