Tom Clarke 1949 ~ 2011
Our wonderful husband, father and grandpa passed away July 26 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. We'll miss his gentle smile, spontaneous laughter, and his undying love for family and life. Tom was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. He lived his life by a creed of hard work, family devotion, simple honesty, and integrity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Tom was born August 25, 1949 in Logan Utah. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He proudly served in the US Air Force. He married the love of his life, Pat, on December 10, 1971, then later sealed in the LDS Temple. They were best friends to the end. They loved to golf, ski and spend time at their cabin in Bear Lake. They had the best of times together. Tom spent his career first with Tektronix as a western regional sales manager and then founded his own company of Technology Sales. He received many awards because of his excellent sales ability. He was a best friend and father to their three children, Stephanie (Judd) Partridge, Jim (Amy), and Bill (Jandie); and his five grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers and one sister, David (Raelene), Arthur (Pam), Merlyn (Betsy) Patrick (Lana) and Mary (Pete) Barker. Tom lived his life to the fullest. To his wife and his children he was their hero. He left a legacy of love and laughter. We are proud to call him husband, dad, and, of course, our best friend. We love you.
