“Star Wars: The Clone Wars” is nearing its conclusion, and Ahsoka Tano is the show’s star.

The eighth episode in the season — “Together Again” — sees the conclusion of the Pyke Syndicate story arc. Ahsoka and the Martez sisters finally find a way to break free from their captors, mostly due to the Martez sisters’ sneaky burglary and Ahsoka’s clever negotiating. Plus, don’t forget the little help from Ahsoka’s Jedi skills and a trio of Mandalorians.

For the second episode in a row, we see Ahsoka’s powers at work (and not always for the better). Seeing Ahsoka back in action aligns with the episode’s opening message: “You can change who you are, but you cannot run from yourself.”

She fully embraces who she is, deciding not to run away anymore from being a Jedi. She may have betrayed her newfound friends for a few moments, but she embraces herself and her talents.

More importantly, we see Ahsoka thrown right back into the game — that is to say, the ongoing drama of the Clone War. She sees leaders of the Pyke Syndicate speaking with their leader, Darth Maul, discovering that the former Sith Lord is now running the underground operation.

At the end of the episode, Ahsoka decides to team up with the trio of Mandalorians, who had been following her since the previous episode. The trio includes Ursa Wren, who is the mother of Sabine Wren, one of the main characters from “Star Wars Rebels,” who teams up with Ahsoka at the end of that series. And Bo-Katan Kryze, who is the sister of Duchess Satine, who previously ruled the planet Mandalore, according to ComicBook.com. There’s a third nameless Mandalorian as well. The group head off to combat Darth Maul, too.

The episode represents the end of Ahsoka’s run with the Martez sisters, which lasted four episodes in total. And it hammers home the fact that she is now embracing her Jedi ways. She may have been banished from the Jedi council, but she remains a formidable Jedi. She plans to embrace her Jedi teachings rather than leave them in the past.

Only two episodes remain in the final season of “The Clone Wars.” With Ahsoka teaming up with the Mandalorians, and the darkness of Darth Maul lingering around, the conclusion will be nothing short of epic. This has slowly become Ahsoka’s show now.

We may not see much of Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi for the rest of the season. With only two left, you’d have to imagine the Maul storyline will finish up. If we’re lucky, we’ll get some pre-“Revenge of the Sith” moments that connect right into that film. But for the most part, it seems we should expected Ahsoka’s story to play itself out.

And that makes sense. Ahsoka is the newest original character to be introduced into the franchise through this show. We’ve watched her journey from the beginning. It’s only fitting we see her find her conclusion.

The good news: Ahsoka will complete her “Clone Wars” storyline as a Jedi — embracing who she has always been, who she is and who she will always be.
